Legendary Death Metal Producer SCOTT BURNS To Make Rare Appearance At Decibel’s Metal & Beer Fest

Legendary death metal producer Scott Burns – the man responsible for classic albums by Death, Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Obituary, Deicide, and way more – is making a special appearance at Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly this April 12 and 13. The appearance is in support of the new book The Scott Burns Sessions: A Life in Death Metal 1987 – 1997 written by David E. Gehlke. Tickets for the festival are available here.

“It was awesome to take a trip down memory lane with David and reminisce about all the great bands I was privileged to work with at Morrisound and abroad,” said Burns of the book. “David did a fantastic job capturing the essence of the late ’80s and ’90s death metal scene. I think Tim Hubbard and the other photographers provided excellent pictures that add a powerful visual element to those great stories.”

The Scott Burns Sessions: A Life in Death Metal 1987 – 1997 features a foreword by Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, ex-Bloodbath, etc.), loads of photos, and interviews with tons of bands that worked with Burns at Morrisound Recording over the years. The Scott Burns Sessions: A Life in Death Metal 1987 – 1997 is available here.
